2018 Greenstyle Kindess Challenge!

2018 Greenstyle Kindess Challenge!

Posted by Sarah Connell on

Welcome to the third annual Greenstyle Kindness Challenge!

Born three years ago out of a desire to spread kindness and compassion throughout the holiday season, the Greenstyle Kindness Challenge is a wonderful event that will not only spread some cheer, but brighten your life as well!

We're kicking it all off tomorrow, December 17, 2018 and running the challenge through the week for five days. Each day, we'll have an open-ended kindness challenge posted in our Facebook Group- something to brighten the life of a stranger, friend or neighbor. Simply complete the challenge, and drop a comment below the post sharing what you did to be entered into that day's prize drawing!

To make our random acts of kindness go even farther, we've partnered with a select group of companies that make it their mission, year-round, to give back to a special cause. We greatly appreciate the support of these companies, and encourage you to check them out if you're still looking for a few holiday gifts. They have some really beautiful and unique offerings, and it always feels good to shop somewhere knowing your money is going toward a worthy cause.

OUR 10 SPONSORS!

SoapBox Soaps

We take the ability to wash our hands for granted, but in many places, people cannot afford a simple bar of soap. Being clean is more than just an aesthetic need, it can often save lives.

SoapBox Soaps is donating three bars of soap to one lucky winner. These soaps are made in a sustainable way, each bar being recycled from hotel bars that have been shaved, down, satizied and reformed to make a brand new bar. For every bar of soap that is purchased, one is given away, both in the U.S. and internationally.  Soap Box offers a whole line of bath and beauty products, all with this simple but powerful guaratntee.

MUD LOVE

MudLove carries jewelry and the COOLEST mugs.  You have to check them out! Through their partnership with Water for Good, every product you purchase provides one week of clean water to someone in need.

The Central African Republic is a country in desperate need of hope, love, and basic necessities. Access to safe, clean water has the power to transform communities and save lives.

One lucky kindness challenge winner will receive a complimentary Kindness Mug from Mud Love!

Society B

This unique marketplace features fair trade goods and products from companies that give back. Society B’s collection includes apparel, jewelry, bags, accessories, home goods, bath and body products, and baby gifts that give back to make the world a better place. 10% of the companies' sales are donated to nonprofits and charitable organizations that support the mission of lifting up vulnerable and underserved populations.

Society B is donating 2 Bloom Anthology Candles to a Kindness Challenge winner.

IVORY ELLA

Ivory Ella's mission is to save the Elephants by donating the proceeds from their collection of stylish clothing and accessories to charitable causes that benefit the elephant population. To date, they have donated over $1.6 million to Save The Elephants and other charitable causes.

THE GIVING KEYS

The Giving Keys offers jewelry that is stamped with an inspirational word like DREAM, CREATE or INSPIRE. You're encouraged to embrace your word, then pay it forward by giving your product to a person who needs the message.

Every product you purchase supports job creation for individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

LOVE YOUR MELON

Love Your Melon partners with nonprofit partners that work in the field of pediatric oncology, fund cancer research initiatives and provide immediate support for families of children battling cancer.

Fifty percent (50%) of their profits from the sale of all Love Your Melon products is given to their nonprofit partners.

Bombas Socks

Did you know socks are the #1 most requested item at a homeless shelter? For every pair of socks purchased, Bombas will donate a pair to a shelter, to be given away to someone in need. Pretty cool, huh?

Faucet Face

Access to clean drinking water is a major problem across the world, and by donating 2.5% of its proceeds from glass and stainless steel drinking vessels, as well as donating clean water filters to those who need them, Faucet Face is helping improve the health of humans worldwide.

Grounds and Hounds

We don't want to forget about the plight of many homeless animals, and Grounds and Hounds Coffee Co donates 20% of their profits to help give a second chance to animals in need.

Fact Goods

FACT Goods is a line of inspirational clothing and accessories with the mission of Finding A Cure Today for many of the diseases that claim loved ones too early, such as lymphoma, leukemia, cancers, and more. They give a quarter or more of their proceeds to charities such as Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Michael J Fox Foundation, Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, Cancer Research Institute, and others that use the funds toward researching a cure for these devastating diseases.

That's all from our sponsors! We hope you enjoying shopping with a purpose, and working with us to spread kindness this season!
