Havana Dress and Top PDF Sewing Pattern Sizes B - M

I like the dress, but had issues sewing the darts. The dart markings on the pattern and the sewing instructions for the dart don't create the same dart. I don't know if that is just in my size (c/d), but the one created by following the instructions, rather than the pattern, created a better dart for me.
Overall, this is an easy sew and very cute on, even for those with Apple figures. I just used a stretchy tube top bra underneath from Amazon and that seemed to do the trick even though I am a plus size and a DD. I think you could pretty easily add a shelf bra to this make. So far, I have just made the high back top to try it out for sizing. I used a stiffer fabric than recommended for my muslin, so it will flow much prettier with a lightweight cotton woven, rayon or a fabric with drape. I did have to grade sizes. I used K on top because i was at the end of J bust sizing and i have a broad back. I graded to M at waist and hips. I would normally keep K and do a full belly adjustment, but because this is a swing top the extra drape doesn’t matter. But, if you skip the fully belly adjustment and have a significant apple belly, add a little length to the front. I am 5’7 “ with a long torso and next time I will add at least 1 inch to the length. I thought the way the instructions said to complete the spaghetti shoulder straps was a bit awkward so I just did it my own way. I would advise making extra long straps for your muslin and it will be much easier to figure out the correct length. I am planning several more tops in the different styles this pattern offers including a dress or two.

I love the options with this pattern! I don't usually sew with wovens, but this pattern has me sewing all the wovens! It is a quick sew with fantastic results!

What a quick fabulous pattern to sew. I love the fit with lots of options and it has pockets!!!! Who doesn't love pockets they make everything more user friendly.
This is such as awesome pattern. Easy to sew and easy to follow instruction. I love the options that come with this pattern. Allows for lots of styles to be made. Best option is the POCKETS. There will be lots of various options in my closet if this for sure.
I can’t remember the last time I made myself a woven garment that wasn’t a kimono. I guess I thought knit fabrics were just “the” way to go to achieve comfortable, stylish garments. I was SO wrong! This dress came together very quickly, with creating my own bias tape being the most time consuming part. The instructions are very thorough, making achieving a great fit easy on the first try. I have many more planned, and am itching to get to the sewing room! Hot like date night, comfy like a house dress ??
