Fit Capsule 2019!

Fit Capsule 2019!

Posted by Sarah Connell on

The Fit Capsule Challenge is a Greenstyle tradition, and now that we've wrapped up the holidays and (hopefully) set some new fitness goals, its time to motivate ourselves again with a new fitness wardrobe!

Wondering what a FitCapsule is, and how to join the challenge? Keep reading, because this post will talk you through all the details, give you some advice for how to get started, and even offer some exclusive discounts on fabric and patterns for your capsule.

What's a Capsule?

Simply put, a capsule wardrobe is a group of items that coordinate and can be mixed and matched together to create a variety of looks. There are many ways to execute a capsule, but since we want to keep things simple (and fun!), our challenge to YOU is to sew up a group of THREE (or more) items that are missing in your athletic wardrobe, using Greenstyle patterns.

The Challenge will all take place in our Facebook group over the next month (from 2/11-3/11/19), where we will be on hand to encourage you as we offer weekly prizes for planning, sewing and sharing. At the end of the month, not only will you have a whole new collection of athletic clothes to wear (and there's nothing more motivating than having a new outfit to wear to the gym!), but you'll also be able to enter a collage of your items into a prize thread for our  $300 Amazon gift card grand prize!!

Getting Started!

Wondering how to get started? There are a few ways you can approach this, but one way to start is to take a look through your current athletic options, identify what's missing, and make a list of the items you need. You can also think about organizing your capsule around a season, a color, or a key item you already own and want to make more items to coordinate with.

If you're a visual person, you might want to download and print out this planning worksheet.

Our first prize will be for simply planning your wardrobe, because every fitness guru knows that the best way to get into a routine (fitness OR sewing!) is to take baby steps toward your goal.

Once you've got a plan, you'll need some supplies to get started, and we have some very generous discounts from our sponsors to get you off on the right track!

Pattern Sale!

All of our athletic patterns are also on sale for 25% off through 2/25/19- no code needed. You can find them on our site HERE.

This is a great time to snap up those patterns that have been on your wish list, or to attempt one you've been putting off- there's no better time to overcome your fear of zippers, or try out your first sports bra!
