Can you believe its May already? We're barreling through spring, headed straight for summer, and lots of fun things are happening over here at Greenstyle.
First, we reached a huge milestone: 10 THOUSAND MEMBERS! Wow! That's so exciting, and we have so many fun games and giveaways planned that I can't wait to share with you.
Second, we had not one, but TWO sewalongs this month: one for the Midway Bomber Jacket (hacks here) and one for the Stride tights! It was so fun to see some of the creations that came out of these events, and to share more Greenstyle love throughout the sewing community!
Here's a small sampling of the awesome makes Greenstyle fans have come up with this month!
Feeling shy? I'll start! I sewed up three Midway Bombers as part of the SewAlong: this reversible version, a hooded athletic version, and a sporty grey and black version (more on my blog)
Allie Shuur also made three bombers during the sewalong- she really knocked my socks off!
Shelby Greene (on Instagram here ) hacked the Endurance bra and came up with this amazing sparkly creation! I just want to reach out and steal it from her closet!
Joni Pearce is getting us all ready for summer with some Brassie shorts with a yoga waistband (hack here ).
These Brassie shorts from Nicolle (follow her @nicolleemiecreations on Instagram) are just too beautiful!
Sam Beard of What Sam Made created this gorgeous matching Endurance Bra/ Stride Leggings set- she's going to be the best dressed gal at the gym for SURE!
Sometimes, its good to sew a few things for the guys in our lives- Joni made these handsome Hampton shorts for her son that no teen could turn down!
Hillary Otis made these cool cement print Inspire leggings- I love how versatile this pattern is! You can even overlap the sides to eliminate side seams.
Amy Snipes made these awesome Taylor Shorts, reminding me that I need to make up a stack of these ASAP for our hot summers!
An Staute (visit her blog here) made this beautiful Scarlet Swing dress with the cold shoulder option- so on trend right now!
Tina Jachetta also sewed along during the Midway Bomber Sewalong and created this beautiful floral bomber for her travels!
Finally, I made an applique version of the lacy slop tank (hack here)- this is on repeat in my wardrobe right now.
Well, that's it for April! I can't wait to showcase what you make in May! Don't forget to tag me and post in our Facebook Group!
