My first and favorite tights

This is the perfect staple athletic tights pattern. With the swoop on the booty and cover stitching, they look like your favorite pair of RTW tights. Lots of color-blocking possibilities.

Success at first try

I had never used a Greenstyle pattern before, so I chose my size based on measurements. My first pair of Stride Tights, made with a soft brushed lycra, fit perfectly with no alterations. The pattern is well drafted and instructions are clear. I used flatlock seams, which require precise matching of pieces, and even on the curve, the match was exact.
For my next pair, I plan to reduce the ease slightly and use heavyweight lycra for compression tights.

This pattern was my first time making athletic tights... and I will definitely be making more! I love the side accent and how you can really accent a fun fabric with this pattern. I used some laser cut tricot for the side accent of my first pair and mesh stripes for my second pair. The contoured waistband is another great feature, and as a low rise kind of girl, I was surprised at how much I love the ultra high rise waistband. Can't wait to make a million more of these tights!

I really like the pattern and the look, however any pattern that doesn't have a calf or thigh measurement for a legging pattern has room for improvement. Not everybody fits the norm, so those measurements are really useful to have. I hate waisting fabric, or having to figure out which size to grade by figure out the negative ease and measure the patterns so that I don't waist fabric as those measurements aren't there. This pattern needs an update with those two measurements included.

These are so so good! I'm so appreciative of such an easy to follow pattern. I'm a super beginner to sewing and was able to finish these in about a day and that's with three small children running around

I have made several of the Strides as swim shorts, and leggings. I love the design and comfort of wearing these leggings. Great design that is a current staple for my wardrobe.
