These are the first pair of leggings I have ever made for myself. The fit is perfect, I just have to perfect my sewing of knits.
I accepted the challenge of making leggings for a dear friend who is quite petite as well as athletic - and she has the thighs and calves to show for it. Not only does this pattern account for differences in height, it takes those other key measurements into account, and includes guidance on how to raise/lower the widest part of the calf for best fit! The shaped wasteband and gusset are nice features, too. My friend is delighted with the fit we achieved, and I'm ready to make some of these for myself!
Already made a number of pairs. LOVE this pattern; very quick to make.
Easy to put together. Very nice fit. Runs just a little small though. Suggest going one size up from hip and thigh measurements. Waist measurement was perfect.
My granddaughter sewed the Simpatico leggings and the fit is so good!

I always recommend this pattern to people who want to make their first pair of leggings, especially if they are worried about fit adjustments. This pattern is so beginner-friendly! It comes in three different heights, it has the calf area clearly marked, and it works with a wide range of stretch fabrics. I've also used it as a template to create my own hacks (added pocket panels and stuff from other patterns).

This pattern is just as it sounds; simple. It goes together very quick, and with a few minor adjustments, I've been able to make the best leggings I've ever worn.

These are my favorite basic leggings pattern because they don’t slide down my legs as the day goes on. But they also aren’t compressive like the athletic tights patterns. They are perfect for under dresses or long shirts, or even as a pair of lounge or pj pants. They are simple and quick to turn out many pairs.
Simple to make and comfy. You can't go wrong with these.
I've tried many legging patterns and all of them have been "okay" but the Simpaticos are the first ones that I truly LOVE. They have curves in all the right places to bend to my knees and calves. They fit with no "knee bagging" and this was all without a muslin! I also love the high waisted option! I use the regular length, but I do like that the Simpaticos come in petite and tall so I don't have to do any adjustments when I sew for my sister. I love the drafting at GS and I'm so happy to finally have a pattern that is a wardrobe staple. No more looking for the perfect leggings, I have found them!
This pattern fills so many gaps in my wardrobe! I've already made 4 pairs and the versatility of this pattern is crazy...I have casual pairs, athletic pairs, pairs made from jersey knit...I literally just cut out 4 more pairs so I can stitch them all together in one go this weekend! They come together so quickly and are perfect for everyone (even beginners). As a tall lady, I also appreciate that there are 3 heights included. Less time adjusting the pattern to fit me perfectly, more time for sewing! If you're thinking about getting this pattern...stop thinking and just do it :)
I’ve sewn so many pairs of leggings and have lots of favorites: favorite with pockets, favorite for weightlifting, favorite for kickboxing, etc. These are my newest favorites! They’re perfect for first time sewists and the fit is spot on, esp in the petite size for me. And just when you think it couldn’t get any better, there’s a projector file. I went from cutting to sewing to wearing in less than an hour. You gotta start with Simpaticos as your first pair of leggings!
Quality drafting is the difference between leggings that are contoured to perfectly fit your body, and just leggings. I love the way the Simpatico Leggings are contoured to fit my calves, and don't wrinkle or get baggy around the knees, and that they come in petite, standard and tall! Yay, leggings that are long enough! And who doesn't love a high rise waistband that smooths the belly?
This is the perfect pattern for simple and comfortable leggings. Great for everyday wear and also a super easy sew!
This is such a great pattern for beginners and advance sewists alike. Sometimes you just want a "quick win" that can be cut and made in the same day, and these are the ticket! Not only can I complete it quick, it also fits perfectly! Love this pattern!
My favorite leggings pattern used to be the Inspires with the no side seam hack but this pattern completely replaced it. The projector file and petite inseam option has made this my go-to since I don’t have to make any pattern alterations. They’re a super quick and easy sew.
