Walbrook Boxer Briefs PDF Pattern in sizes S-XXXL

The Walbrook Boxer Briefs are a fun project for anyone! Choose fabrics with at least 50% stretch and some lycra or spandex for good recovery. There are options for a functioning fly, a non-functioning fly, an encased elastic waistband or an exposed elastic waistband, and two different lengths. There is even a special optional technique included in the instructions for those who love to build their skills! The pattern includes sizes S to XXXL.
You will need 3/4 yards of 55" - 60" knit fabrics.

This is such a quick, gratifying sew. Made four pairs in the last two days. I bought the men's size for my teen as well as the youth size for my little guy. The fit is perfect without any alterations. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Both boys say that they're more comfortable than store bought undies which makes my mommy heart happy. My husband is jealous ;) so I'm off to make more!

I made a pair for my boyfriend. He said they fit well and were very comfortable to wear. The only issue is that the instructions aren’t super clear and the photos are not as helpful as they could be.
Exactly as I expected
My neurodivergent/ADHD grandson has issues with clothing that is too tight, has scratchy seams, isn't long enough, etc. His issues with underwear were the worst. Using this pattern and modifying to hidden seams on the regular fly and crotch piece I was able to finally make him underwear that he will wear!
My husband's picky about fit and wanted to sew his own underwear to replace his beloved exficios. This pattern was the first thing he ever sewed and they fit great even with mistakes. Flexible fit allows for seam allowance changes, upside-down crotch gussets, serger or zigzag, and forgotten facings. Depending on the fabric, hemming is optional.
The one piece, wrap-around style without a back seam is really comfortable and mimics high-end athletic boxer-briefs. Just a great pattern! And I don't get asked to make his underwear :)
I really enjoyed the ease of this pattern. The instructions were clear and I had no problem assembling them. They fit well enough, but I really would have liked a long leg version. Maybe it's something that can be added on or updated in the future. It would have been nice to have the length noted in the pattern description. I might have reconsidered purchasing it had I known the legs weren't going to be the length I was looking for.
I wanted a simple pattern, with a simple price, that gave a good result with a quick sew.

I couldn't recommend this pattern enough. Fast make. Great instructions. Clear illustrations. The sizing is spot on. Much like the boxers, this is a great pattern for boxer briefs! This pattern has you covered with both a functioning and non-functioning fly option, 2 different elastic options and 2 length options. This is also a very simple, very quick sew with a great price!
