Made them as a gift for my hs grad grandson. He said they were a perfect fit and so comfortable, he slept in them. Pattern and instructions were good and I learned some new skills! He wants me to make more.❤️

Great Pattern

Made my husband a pair for running in winter with a thicker outer fabric. He loved them so much he commissioned me to make five more pairs. I didn’t quite know that I signed myself up to be a factory production line but he loves them!

Motion Athletic Shorts

My son-in-law requested a pair of shorts and showed me several examples of high-end shorts e.g. Lulu, Arc'teryx, etc. I found this pattern and thought it was worth a try to achieve the look he was after. They are fabulous!! I am very particular about my sewing and hate if anything looks 'home-made' and these definitely look high-end! I am so happy with them and so is he! I was a bit confused with the pocket, but once I realized that I needed to cut the lining out out different material, everything came out beautifully! My son-in-law's comment was that the other son-in-law is going to want a pair too, once he sees his!

Dressier Shorts

I used this pattern to make my grandson some dressier shorts than his normal "basketball" style. Paired with the Green Stryle stretch woven fabric, the shots came out beautifully!

What do you want me to say?

I haven’t made the shorts yet as it has taken ages to download, print, and stick all the pages together. I have found a problem with the instructions which don’t explain something shown on the pattern. I wouldn’t bother again with this type of pattern except that where I live I have little access to sewing materials!

I am always looking for more great patterns to make for my husband, and this pattern is a favorite in our house. He loves his motion shorts, and I love making things for him.

I made my husband 2 pairs of Motion Shorts and now he wants more to replace all of his RTW running shorts! He says they are the most comfortable and best fitting running shorts he has ever worn...and I didn't even have to make any adjustments. I sewed the size he measured and it was spot on! The front pockets are very clever and he said they hold his phone perfectly when running! I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I also plan on sewing up a pair in my size with a 3-4" inseam.

I made a pair for our son who is in the police academy and needed some lightweight workout shorts. He loves them! So hubby of course asks for a pair even though he's anti-shorts. He doesn't run but loves them for lounging or working outside or on the boat. Super easy to sew up and a great way to use some of my stretch woven stash.
