- 6-8 = 1 yard
- 10-16 = 1 1/4 yards
- Look for fabrics with 50% horizontal stretch and 50% vertical stretch knit fabric.

Love being able to blend sizes and get a perfect fit, used the size chart and actual measurements and the pants fit spot on!
9-yr-old has put childish things behind her and wants to dress like the middle schoolers. I made these a few days ago, anticipating a Florida-type cold snap, using a Joann athleisure cotton/poly/spandex blend knit. She wore them today…again. Two days in a row! The pattern was easy to turn into a slim size: traced sz 8, then slashed the front and back from waist to hem, and overlapped the edges 1/4”. Traced a sz 7 waistband. She loves them, and they were an easy sew, even with the pockets.
My daughter loves these and I LOVE them on her! So far she's got 2 pairs (these hot pink ones made out of a thick brushed athletic poly and some she can wear as her uniform at school in navy blue) and wears them all the time. She's tall and slim and the sizing is right on for her.
